The North Carolina Health System has released new Digital Care Access Tools

Novant Health, located in Winston-Salem, North Carolina, has unveiled two new Digital tools aimed at assisting patients in obtaining treatment and making educated decisions.Customers will get access to real-time health information and clinical assistance through Novant Health Now, which comprises of two tools: a virtual assistant and a physician matcher.

Individuals may utilize voice or text to obtain real-time answers to their healthcare issues through the virtual assistant. Patients may use the conversational artificial intelligence-powered platform to identify doctors and services, make telehealth and in-person appointments, learn about COVID-19 testing and immunization registration, and get live agent support.

According to the news statement, the technology was trialed in October, permitting 20,000 unique discussions and 10,000 actions tied to the chats.Patients can use the physician matcher tool to discover the perfect specialist for their requirements. The platform, which looks like a dating app, matches users with providers based on personal preferences such as gender, years of experience, spoken language, and therapeutic competence.”During this pandemic, we’ve seen a significant increase in demand for virtual care, as well as patient engagement and Digital health capabilities,” said Angela Yochem, Novant Health’s chief transformation and Digital officer, in a news release.

“For patients seeking real-time, tailored health information, suggestions, and treatment, Novant Health Now streamlines and simplifies this improved online journey.”The app allows patients to schedule their own appointments, view medical information, and read curated health news.Novant Health Now will continue to be updated with Digital health tools, such as a symptom checker that can provide treatment suggestions.
